- Medical Program: Australian Catholic University (ACU) Melbourne
- Combined session (session 4): ACU
For over 25 years the St Vincent’s Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unit has held this national meeting showcasing the best of local and international IBD research, clinical innovation, and expert practice, bringing together clinicians, researchers, and allied health professionals to advance the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
We look forward to welcoming gastroenterologists, fellows, IBD nurses, specialist pharmacists and dieticians as they join key IBD opinion leaders and national and international experts in a day of exceptional multidisciplinary and interactive education.
This meeting will run parallel to the National IBD Surgical Symposium which will be held at the same time on site at ACU; and will showcase international and local colorectal surgical expertise.
Research remains critical to everything we do, leading to the development of the best standards of care and improved outcomes for our patients and your support in this endeavour is now, more than ever, greatly appreciated.
The National Surgical & Medical IBD Symposiums are a joint collaboration between surgical and gastroenterological departments of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne in conjunction with the Digestive Diseases Centre of Excellence, and held every two years in Melbourne.
The Digestive Diseases Centre of Excellence at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne is dedicated to deepening knowledge of gastrointestinal and liver diseases; and a key goal is to foster understanding, innovation, and excellence in diagnosing, treating, and preventing these conditions. We achieve this mission through dedicated patient care, ongoing research, and educational initiatives such as the National IBD Symposium.
Our hospital, St. Vincent’s, boasts a rich history of excellence and innovation in patient care. We are not only recognised within Australia but also globally – known for its leadership in diagnosing and providing medical, endoscopic, and surgical treatment for digestive tract and liver disorders.
