About the Symposium

The 2026 St Vincent’s National IBD Symposium brings together surgical and medical expertise for concurrent and collaborative programs over the one day program.

The day will be start with the Colorectal Surgery Program running concurrently to the Gastroenterology Program, and then finishing out the day with a combined session where both sides will come together for a multidisciplinary approach, focusing on current and emergency treatment strategies in managing IBD. 

Saturday 28 March, 2026:

  • Concurrent Surgical Symposium (approx. 08:30 – 15:00)
  • Concurrent Medical Symposium (approx. 08:30 – 15:00)
  • Combined Surgical & Medical Session (approx. 15:30 – 17:30)

We aim to equip you with new approaches to these difficult problems, and that you will finish the day with a renewed sense of confidence in managing inflammatory bowel disease.
